"Sensitively handled drama about a family whose less-than-happy reunion reveals no end of bitter division. ... kept from becoming too oppressive by Bass' restrained approach...the fine cast resists the potential for easy pathos, villainy and melodrama...each principal thesp grasps their role with such subtle, layered understanding."

"Lakeville" released by Nettwerk America
U.S. Tour dates begin
Dear Friends,
This is my new website.
I hope you like it and find it easy to use. I'd like to thank Meghan Dewar, Michael Christopher and Bora Nikolic for all their work on it.
The little video clip on the front page is something I made from video footage of the "Lakeville" photo shoot in Lakeville, MA with my very good friend Chris Strother taking photos, Christina Blackaller on makeup/clothes and best friend from 5th grade Maria Oliveira assisting. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for that special day and their beautiful work.
My 2nd album "Lakeville" was recorded in 8 days with Mark Howard recording and producing. I'm very grateful to him and all the musicians who made it happen. It simply wouldn't exist without these generous and talented people taking a leap of faith for me and these songs.
After I finished the album I met Emily Lichter and without her, I'm sure the album wouldn't be getting out to you this year. I want to thank Emily and everyone at Nettwerk America for helping me to continue onward as an artist in the world.
"Lakeville" is the name of my new album and the name of my hometown in Massachusetts. The album captures me performing "live" in the studio with some wonderful musicians. We sat together in the ballroom of the Paramour Estate in Silverlake (in L.A.) and recorded some moments in time. You might also hear some "mistakes", a pair of feet shuffling across the room or a door slam. . . and maybe a ghost or two.
"Lakeville" refers less to a locality than a quiet place of the soul, where mercifully "nothing really ever happens" as the song says. A place from which something good might spontaneously spring, something shadowy but flecked with light. A place I'm coming from, where I'm beginning. Once again.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show me love and support along the way. I hope I can return it in part with this little wellspring, "Lakeville".
Hope to see you out on the road.
With Love,
Amy
